Yes yes, I know, I am a bad blogger...it's been almost a month. I just haven't had much to say that wasn't a rant of some sort about my restaurant job, which due to the EXPLOSIVE upswing in both drama and fuckery over the last week has caused me to develop a twitch in my left eye (no joke...since last thursday). I just can't even go into it and type it all out because it stresses me out and pisses me off so badly, suffice it to say that extreme fuckeries have been committed, REPEATEDLY and new information has come to light that has me seeking another Monday through Thursday gig. The money I make there is NOT worth my mental health. I just wish that I was younger and foolish like I used to be so that I could just tell them to take a flying fuck at a rolling donut, but alas, responsibility has set in in my old age, and I can't leave this one til I find another. So, I'm exploring several different things, and putting in apps everywhere.
Any rate, other than all THAT fuckery, I'm doin pretty good. I joined an online book-swapping site ( www.paperbackswap.com ) that I'm really digging.....basically, you sign up and list at least 10 books that you're wanting to get rid of....you automatically get two credits (each book costs one credit, and audio books cost 2) just for signing up and listing at least 10 books. So, I signed up on Sunday and ordered 2 Spider Robinson books (they have LOTS of stuff that you just can't find anymore!) between sunday and monday, 6 books off my list were chosen (i listed about 120), so I mailed them out today and when they reach their new homes and the people check in that they've recieved them, I get 5 credits for the books and 2 more for the audio book, for a grand total of 7 credits to choose books with....this was a cost of about 12 dollars to me for shipping and supplies. Not too shabby! I also checked out www.bookcrossing.com which is sort of like a "where's george" thing for books instead of dolla bills.....but not enough people in my area are doing it, so meh.
I've been doing a bunch of beading (I'm doing some of those bottomless sandals like Anna and Carrie wore for Anna's wedding) and I've been on a kick of doing chokers and earrings lately. I can feel that clay time is coming soon...Chad and I were playing with that weird fake no bake crayola clay a couple of weeks ago and it's got me wanting to drag all that stuff out.
Anyways, that's what's been up with me.

Yard Sale SCORE
Look what I scored for 10 bucks today!!!! It's practically brand new (they run about 100 bucks) and I've been wanting one for YEARS since my friend Katie brought hers to a festival. It's dark green, and it folds up to a little bigger than a camp stove, but it can comfortably and sturdily seat four adults! YAY yard sales!
PS it has a hole in the center for a big ass beach umbrella, so keep your eyes peeled for one!

Damn, you, Nikki!!
OK, so....I NEVER paint my fingernails....like..ever. It's probably been 15 years...UNTIL Nikki gave me some REALLLLLLLLLY pretty pink sparkly shit that I was gonna use on my toes......but the other day, I saw it, and thought to myself.."self, I don't have any massages this week, and my nails are actually kind of grown out and pretty, so, hey self, let's paint the fingernails" then I remembered WHY I haven't painted my fingernails....it's hard....it's messy....it only lasts for a day doing the things I do....and it's not quick enough! Anyway, I toughed it out and painted them...and they looked good, for exactly 12 hrs....solution? ANOTHER LAYER.....so, a few days later, there's 25 coats of nail polish on my nails, and they are truly a disaster...so, tonight I take it all off......20 minutes of my life wasted to acetone! and WHAT, you may ask, did I do next???????? I painted the silly shits again! Damn you, Nikkizzle, the few hours that the fingernails look perfect are a cruel mistress...I'm now doing the rationalizing thing I do and deciding that maybe this is the universe's way of teaching me to slow down an be still every so often, which is one of the biggest obstacles in having pretty painted nails lol.

breakfast cake and baby birdies
AM is right, I'm totally slacking on the bloggy blog-ness......so.......
So, the eggs in my mailbox hatched on Saturday! So far, I count at least 3 baby birdies, but there may be more that I can't see because of the way the nest is positioned....I tried to take some pics, but without a flash (I even tried using a flashlight.....I'm sure that was entertaining for the people driving by me lol) it was not so bueno....I'm gonna try to get my hands on a real camera in the next day or two......the lil guys are so ugly that theyre cute!
The other exciting thing this weekend was the advent of (insert church bells tolling, because this IS a holy experience!).......THE BREAKFAST CAKE!!! My buddy Chad and I were tooling around on ye olde interwebs Saturday night, and we came across this link . We looked at each other and said....DAMN, that looks good! WE could make that!!!!! So, we went to the grocery and got the goods, and came home and..........
and, yes...that IS canadian bacon in between the layers! The "cake" is basically a very thick quiche, and the "frosting" is sausage gravy!!!! It is heaven on a plate! It is VERY filling....I ate half of a piece that size and was STUFFED for hours! I think that when (NOT if....when!) I make this again, I'm gonna do them as lil bitty cupcake quiches! YUM
In other news, my buddy Chad is a bad ass who has helped me figure out how to hook up my laptop to the big ass tv, so now I can download stuff and watch it on the big tv while I bead and such! YAY Chad!
The craft show I did on the 4th was kind of a bust....we made gas money and lunch money, so it wasn't bad....it just wasn't good....not many people came out....but, it was still fun hangin out with Miss Lindsay and Miss Stefanie.....and there was a purse snatching right behind our booth! The town this show was in is really small (not even a grocery store), so it was really surprising! Some douche snatched an old lady's purse and jumped into a moving car....she said there was only like 20 bucks in it, but he really ouched her arm when he snatched it, so we made her an ice pack from our cooler.....I never heard whether or not they caught the guy...I'm assuming not, but at least the old lady wasn't hurt badly and didn't lose too much.
and in closing, I leave you with this..... THE BEST FILKSONG EVAR

got my bags packed....
